"A few times every few centuries an artist or collaboration of artists will create a work that is divinely inspired, a composition that surpasses wordly bounds and lives in a place beyond words. This is such a composition. Upon listening I was immediately stricken speechless. From the beginning, you are hypnotized by the whispering currents that have always flowed behind the story of John Denver's voice, and in the absence of that voice you drift softly into a sweetly melodic and beautiful stream of images. This composition is a miracle of song, so gently powerful as to invoke a thousand precious emotions at once, rendering the listener blessedly lost in its enchanting and nostalgic spell. Following the lead of one of the greatest musicians this world will ever know, this work ventures far beyond the range of its substance, taking flight into skyward palaces where joy is indistinguishable from sadness, and "tears are the very wine of blessedness." (Tolkien) The Eagle and the Hawk is a tower of heavenly light, Fly Away and Poems, Prayers and Promises are too brilliantly poignant to convey in speech, and Eagles and Horses lights the heart with a raging fire. Sunshine on my Shoulders is a reason for living. These songs were crafted by genius, and revamped by artists who understood the unparalleled beauty and magnificence of these songs. They take us to impossible heights, and we are forever changed."

"This tribute is done by two very talented musicians who happened to have worked for John Denver. Their admiration for their boss shows through in wonderful ways. This cd is one that will take you floating away. Very masterfully done."
