"Combat 84 had a very short but interesting and colorful career, getting their name from their combat gear and the George Orwell novel 1984. This CD represents the best of the original material recorded over 18 years ago and will bring back some great memories for those that were there and also appeal to the new generation of Oi and Punk fans and is a good introduction to the band who have now reformed and are releasing new material. The CD features all the tracks from the bands first two EPs, ''Orders of the Day'' and ''Rapist'' that were originally on vinyl as well as the best tracks from the studio side of their album Send in the Marines. Combat 84 pull no punches when it comes to lyrics and in your face streetpunk music, if you are looking for political correctness then go somewhere else, the band cover many topics and offer their answers to dishing out punishment to Rapists and other law breakers but even though their politics lean very firmly to the right there is never any racism in the songs, the general feel is probably no more right wing than a Rebuplican party bash on election night! If you are a fan of this type of music and have never heard Combat 84 then this is a must, unlike some of the other bands from this period, Combat were not scared to air their opinions, even if it meant being banned by some sections of the music press and media. The songs are a picture of what life was like in London for youngsters in the 80's and excluding a couple of occasions this is not really a political band, infact they are more like a musical version of apocalypse now with their gung ho attitude and lyrics. If you like your music hard, tough, in your face and realistic look no further than here. The material on orders of the day compares well to the new y2k offering from the band, the ''Tooled Up'' EP released in October, this is the same old Combat but even more so, a great comeback after 18 years away, and they still sound as good and fresh now as they did then."
All the classics together.

"Here is a nice collection of Combat 84 songs from their first release all on one CD, sure there are only 14 songs, but they still pack in a mean punch. Old Oi! anthems from a age long ago, and they are still pulsing strong... a definate must have for fans of old Punk and Oi!...."

"I got the picture disc vinyl album edition because it's a work
of art.At the time I bought it,the cd version featured ¨Charge
Of The 7th Cavalry¨,the live version, exact same tracks xcept
live,as bonus tracks on this record.I got wind the live one had been reissued as a separate cd.Both have.At a much
higher price I paid for the pic disc !!!! Not fair !!! Well,I ain't
getting the live one now,but strongly advise any OI ! or skin
fans to get ¨Orders Of The Day¨.It's strong and nice sounding.A true piece of punk history.
pity about those bonus tracks,though."
The ultimate Oi! album.

"This is the best album the Oi! scene has ever produced and believe me there's alot of competition out there, but no song packs a punch like the rapist."
It's better to be dead than F-ing Red!

"This is a classic Oi band. Every one of their records drips with energy, patriotism and violence. A punk rock fan may not appreciate this, but any Oi fan would. You've got to love Combat 84."
