extract from sleeve notes by Otis Grand:
"Nobody writes them like Richie Milton does, he's got the lyrics, the hooks and the melody down so well on hundreds of tunes that, in my opinion, makes Richie one of the finest songwriters around today!
Normally I write with my long-term partner Lori Basson, but since having the had the pleasure of producing and co-writing on Richie's last CD for Indigo we have sat down and collaborated on songs that have ultimately ended up on my own recordings. I now consider him THE man to write with!
I dig the way Richie approaches writing tunes. He is a classic 'tunesmith' in the old style. He cares about the melody. He worries about the changes - he does not come up with changes for changes sake.
I personally believe every tune on this record is a potential classic piece of R'n'B worthy of any International artist.
Add to this great talent, Richie is a touring artist running his own 7-piece band, and you've got dynamite.....if you ever get the chance to see him you'll know what I'm talking about......you'll know I'm right!
Good Blues to you - Otis Grand (May 2001)
This is a stunning album that has great reviews in UK and is Richie's best yet!"
