"While I have been a fan of Commander Cody for many years and seen them live several times, this album seems to capture the spirit and excitement of a live show without being a "live" album. Tracks such as "7-Eleven", "Rock and Roll Again" and "Midnight Man" definately have a harder edge than earlier Cody work. There is some great pedal steel playing by Bobby Black, great piano banging by the Commander and some great guest artists that were on allot of albums from the '70's. Of course what has always made CC so fun to listen to is the great rythym, instrumentals and playfull lyrics that combine to form a power-house band."
Rock n'n Roll again with superb mystery blend

"This Commander Cody album was the first one I ever heard. I was 17 years old and was listening very much to jazzrock and melodious rock. Then, when I heard this album - seeking new dimensions in music - I was impressed by the mysterious sounds and lyrics and blends of three very special tracks on this album. Those were and still is: Midnight Man, Don't Say Nothing and Snooze You Lose. These three songs did catch my attention completely for a couple of weeks after buying the LP in 1977. Today I have the cd.
The rest of the album is however very much standard, but these three songs are definitely lifting the album to a higher level, or should I say, is taking the listener down into darkness and mystery. But, wow! What a journey conducted by Commander Cody at his best.
After buying the Rock 'n' Roll Again Album I was looking for other good albums with the Commander Cody and the Commander Cody band, and I still am, but I have never found anything as impressive as this one. For me this is Commander Cody's number one album - not only his first solo album but also is best one. The "Tales From The Ozone" with the Commander Cody And His Lost Planet Airmen continuous to be the second best album Commander Cody has ever been involved in creating, but this one is still holding first place. Buying it won't be regretted."
