Synopsis

Album Description
"The North German Baroque Organ at Ã?rgryte nya kyrka is full of baroque majesty and Davidsson gets his point across in many different ways using written, visual, and aural evidence leading to a performance that is both exemplary and nothing short of stunning. This is a set that I implore you to buy, as it is an absolute must for the collector." - ORGAN MAGAZINE The complete organ works of an important German baroque composer who highly influenced the works of J. S. Bach, in definitive performances. Organist Hans Davidsson, a professor at the Eastman School of Music, has done more research on Weckman than any other music historian. The 3XCD collector's edition contains two booklets totaling fifty-six pages with extensive text describing the landmark German Baroque organ in Gothenburg, Sweden. The booklet also includes articles on the composer and his life, and the music, with full descriptions of symbolism employed and the cosmology to which they belong. This organ is the only instrument in the world that has the stop combinations specified by Weckman! The 24-bit technology recording was made with the new ULSI technique developed by recording engineer Erik Sikkema.
