Synopsis

Album Description
In today's musical cookie cutter world, Conner somehow pull off a sound that feels both uniquely cutting edge and classically familiar. Their new album "Hello Graphic Missile" combines 70's funk bass lines, hard hitting disco/dance drum riffs and complex rock guitar for a sound that hits the brain somewhere between off-kilter art and on-the-pulse pop. Listen to it once, and it's catchy melodies and stick-in-your-head rhythms will suck you in. Listen to it again, and you'll fall for it's intricately placed parts and provocative lyrics.

CD Reviews

Really good.

"Really interesting funky record. Every track is different. I really like the guitarist's sound, great riffs. It's rocknroll."
When the opening band is better, buy THEIR album.

"I saw these guys when they were touring with the Killers last summer and they were rockin! They had already sold out of CDs by the time I saw them, so I was really amped when they finally came out with this release. "Floating on Error" is definately a great track, but I reccommend giving the whole album a listen. It's cohesive, but not repetitive, and it's definately more interesting than the Killers & their pop-rock peers."
Great Record from this Lawrence, KS band

"Conner plays music that is familiar and yet all their own. Think Gang of Four meets late 70's Rolling Stones with the Killers and Spoon thrown in for good measure. Songs like "Cold Feelings" and "Floating on Error" combine off kilter disco beats with great melodies and more edgy guitar/bass lines. Then there are the rockers like "Up to You" and "Eyed, Eyes, Eye" that show a hint of their great live show. I caught them at SXSW....Great record and great band."
