Good tunes, good singing, good jazz

"Little Did I Dream by Connie Evingson, her eighth commercial cd, is up to her usual high standards. Back from her detour into the realm of gypsy jazz, she again teams up with the excellent tenor sax player, Dave Karr, and with Dave Frishberg. While working with Frishberg is new for Connie, Dave Karr and Dave Frishberg have collaborated back when both were students at University of Minnesota. The result of this effort is well worth the listen. Connie's bouncy take on Little Did I Dream is wonderful. The wistful Eastwood Lane is another highlight. The two Dave's are given plenty of room for solos throughout the set, and they don't waste a note. This cd is a must have for anyone that likes good jazz."
A treat for the ears

"Wonderful synergy from two fine artists. Music from Frishberg ranging from pensive to clever and comedic; and the Evingson voice that knows how to make the music sparkle. I have played over and over, and never tire of this fine combination."
