"This collectiodn is from her Columbia years when she was at her peak vocally. Although it is only a greatest hits package and does not contain some her truly great work during this period, this recording still stands as a testament to the most unique female country singer every to come along the pike. It just does not get better than Connie Smith. I hope this CD and others will reach the new generation of country fans. They don't know what they are missing!"
Fantastic and Ultra Rare Collection of Hits from A Country G

"Connie Smith was one of the greatest women stars in country music from the time of her first record release in 1964 til her self-imposed temporary retirement from the music business in 1980 to spend more time with her family. From 1964-1972 Connie recorded for RCA and had her greatest success with almost every record hitting the Billboard top ten. Most of these sessions are available on various CDS. From 1972-1977 however Connie was on Columbia and still doing great on the charts with virtually every song making the Top 20 and a couple climbing in to the top ten. This 10 song collection is to date the only CD of her Columbia recordings. What a shame this CD was only available for a few years because these are some of the best tracks Connie ever did and show off that famous big voice of hers beautifully. Connie had hits with this period with remakes of Everly Brothers songs (TIL I KISSED YOU, SO SAD) and Hank Williams' (a terrific bouncy rearrangement of WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME). YOU'VE GOT ME RIGHT WHERE YOU WANT ME is one of the few songs Connie has written, co-penned by Tammy Wynette's future husband George Richey. My favorites here are the joyously bouncy AIN'T LOVE A GOOD THING and the rollicking I'VE GOT MY BABY ON MY MIND, but perhaps best of all is the wistfully moving THE SONG WE FELL IN LOVE TO. It's a crime this fantastic period of Connie's career is so dismally represented on CD - there really needs to be a 20-song or more collection of her Columbia work. In the meantime, the best available is this outstanding collection, usually only available used at a steep price but probably worth every penny to fans of great country music."

"Dolly Parton once said, "There are only three singers in country music who can really sing: Patsy Cline, Linda Ronstandt and Connie Smith. THe rest of us are just pretending". How true!! Connie is without peer. Her voice is pure magic and this CD showcases some of her best work that is usually overlooked! Every cut on here is Connie at her very, very best! You won't be disappointed!"
