"that there can be crack cocaine for the ears? Or that a band can create music that vibrates at just the right frequency to activate the pleasure center in the brain? I dunno, but this stuff sure is addicting.



Or maybe it's just that David Reid is an amazing songwriter, singer, and musician, with bandmates who do a great job of keeping up with him. The music reminds me of a Smithereens/Tom Petty/Byrds mash-up, with a bit of Costello thrown in, but just because Reid builds on music's history doesn't mean he has nothing fresh to offer. Trust me, he does.



It's been a long time since I've been this excited about a band. I have all of their CDs, and each time I buy one I wonder if the magic will be gone, but it just gets better and better.
