"The Controllers are probably one of the best L.A. punk rock bands in late 70's.Along with The Flesheaters,Middle Class, Germs,Controllers(formed by guitarist and songwritter Rik L Rik) were most influental band for me and other young people in Croatia.Because this reason,i just must write this review."

Apart of punk rock history

"My mom and dad played in this band for a couple years in the late 70s. I was surprised to track down this record. Although they're only credited for the first song, the rest of the record's not so bad. Once you get over the initial rough, raw recording sound you can start to appreciate the funny lyrics and thrashing guitars. If you're looking for a good insight into early LA punk check it out, it also works well if you want to impress all your friends."

"The Controllers are still around, playing LA... check out [their website] for recent gig info... this CD is a classic release from a class band. Just to correct our friend from Croatia, The Controllers were not formed by Rik L. Rik (that was the equally seminal F-Word.) Johnny Stingray was the founder of the Controllers and is still at the helm along with co-founder Kidd Spike, later of the great Gears!"
