CD Reviews

First, best, @#$% brilliant.

"It's sad to see Southern rap hit the big time now that it has turned into nothing more than mumbles about bling and cough syrup set to cell phone beats, because Willie D blew @#$% up almost a generation ago with this album and got no props.

Between Ready Red's precise production and Willie D's hollerin' drawl, Controversy's lyrics are punched into your think-hole like a sledgehammer through a plate glass window. And the lyrics put even the mighty Ice Cube to shame with a mix of funny, nasty, hard, real, and, well, nasty. This one shouldn't just be re-released, it should be required listening for all the weak MCs and lazy producers making millions right now. Hell, Willie himself should be forced to listen to this, too, after "The Foundation", but he probably can't afford those high collectors' prices."

"This is by far the hardest rap CD, i have ever heard. It makes me upset to see Willie Dee not get his props. Willie Dee is so hardcore. Then his country sound makes it colorful. I mean the way he comes off is incredible. He's original, creative and funny. This man is an entertainer. He can do it all. Rap gansta, kick it and make you laugh. Put the F'Gun Away is harder than DMX's Rough Rider Anthem. This song make you want to tear up some sh_t! Alot of people just don't know. Then Dee has Kinky MotherF_cker. Alot of rappers have talked about sexual experiences but nobody but Willie Dee could it like this. This song shows is creativeness, separating he from the rest. Welfare B_tches just tells the realness out here in da world. Dee talks about sisters and brothers who don't won't to work for nothing ant nothing. Bald Head Hoes shows Willie's funny personality.People just don't understand pure originality. They want the norm. A incredible album."
