"After seeing The Cornell Hurd band rock the house at the Broken Spoke in Austin, Texas, I bought their latest CD "Texas Fruit Shack" which is also a great Texas Honky Tonk masterpiece.I had to have more, so I ordered the earlier release "Cool & Unusuaul Punishment"Like "Texas Fruit Shack", this record grabs you right off the bat & doesn't let go. It also has more guest appearences by Johnny Bush, which I like.The musicianship is top notch, authentic & soulful. This record keeps my head bobbin' & makes me dance around wildly alone & uninhibited around my apartment.It's such a fun record & group. No false pretentions, veneers or posing going on here, just great music, great lyrics & good times by real guys with real experiences.These guys are everything that the souless, slick, industry, smoke & mirror acts of Nashville are not.Buy all of Cornell Hurd's records before any of you country music fans waste your money on the souless drivell coming out of Nashville. No offense to Nashville, you just don't have anything near as good as The Cornell Hurd band in your little stable of so-called stars.......If there was any justice in this world, The Cornell Hurd band would be multi-millionaires. Give them your hard earned dollar, they're worth it & you won't be dissapointed.Can you tell? I loved the record!!! More great liner notes too....... Buy it now!!!!"
