"I recently attended an outdoor music festival featuring five stages and a million great DJ's and electronic artists. After partying and dancing like mad all night, I crashed in my tent around 3:30am. I dragged myself out of bed at 8:00am, grabbed a coffee, and staggered over to one of the stages where the music was still playing, and a core of dancers still going after all this time (boy did they outlast me!) I was so tired I didn't expect any song could energize me again at that point in time, but then this pounding beat started to exhibit an oddly familiar guitar sample. When Jack Bruce's vocals were dropped into the mix, I finally recognized it as an explosive techno-fied version of "Sunshine of Your Love," one of my all-time favourite Cream songs! I positioned myself directly in front of the speakers, felt the pounding soundwaves vibrate through my skin and soft internal organs while the sunlight filtered through the trees, and thought, "There is no better way to wake up to a new day than this!"
Great remix of a great song. They do the original justice, and that's high praise.
