"Chris Williamson is an icon of the women's music movement of the 1970's. Her voice is deep, resonant and haunting. This is one of her very best albums. I saw her in concert several times with Margie Adams and Holly Near, also leaders of this same movement. Chris' album will not be a disappointment. She is one of the earliest feminists and was an out lesbian, early for her time. Had she come to light as a singer now, she probably would be much for famous as record labels are not as reticent to sign on singers who are out."
