"Cristina Branco is the greatest fado singer I have heard so far (and I have heard many others too). Apart from Murmúrios, there are three other CD's. Especially recommended: Post-Scriptum: even more beautiful than Murmúrios (I didn't think it was possible, but it is). The other two are great too.My favourite tracks on Murmúrios are: 3. As Certezas do meu mais brilhante amor 8. Pombas brancas"
Rediscover The fado fir the new millenium

"The first time i heard Cristina Branco was on a Portuguese TV cultural Guide "Acontece", And i stood stoned by the energy and youth presented in her performance. First thing in the next morning, i went to a music store to hear more about this fantastic artist. "Murmurios" is her 2nd Album, where great poems from major Portuguese Poets are convertesd in a moody way of Fado. It's everything we know about Fado and more. The powerfull voice, fatal but not too sad, melancolic, but also, cheerfull. The arrangements are great. Prevailing the typical Portuguese guitar, the classical guitar, assumes a new role, and in the last track, a piano gives a wonderfull touch. For the first time in my life I buyed a Fado CD, and I'm thrilled. Thanks, Cristina."
Her voice, her "saudade", her songs

"Cristina's voice is one of the most impressive voices in Portugal. She also represents the "saudade" (saudade has no accurate translation to other languages, means missing someone, love, sadness, and some contradictory feelings, it is very representative of what fado is). Her songs are beautiful too."
Cristina is great

"Murmurios is a great CD. There's no better fado singer than Crisina Branco, really. Listen to Fado Perdicao, listen to Murmurios, listen to As certezas do meu mais brilhante amor... The melancholy, the heartfelt sorrow, and still, the joy, it all fits and creates a wonderful sense of wanting to be in Lisbon, or with Cristina (whom I've had the pleasure of seeing perform myself), or whatever. When in trouble, seek comfort in Murmurios (or her other CD's, like Post Scriptum, or Cristina in Holland, although I don't know if it's available elsewhere). Cristina Branco is great and the world better know it (and soon will)."
