CD ReviewsTurn the page Mad bin Tod | Ireland, TX USA | 08/15/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is not music. It's an historical essay on the cultural evolution of metal from the 70's to the end of the 80's. One 30+ minute collage of music and words that basically recaps the history of the heavy during the cocaine years on earth. I think that you would have to be a rather refined fan of the genre in order to fully appreciate this work of incomparable genius. If you have a functioning brain, have not irreparably damaged your mnemonic faculties, possess a sense of humor, and like everything from Slayer to Steely Dan, then you may well be amused and even amazed by what you hear here." THIS IS GOOD STUFF! Erik C. Gist | Evansville, IN | 08/24/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "CROM- The Cocaine Wars is a great album in many ways. Yes, the album is themed around the Movies that feature Ahnold as Conan the Barbarian. But it still rocks and there's an abundance of great riffs. Snippets of dialogue from the movie and messed up versions of popular songs segue from one eighties-metal sounding song to the next. Also amusing is the singer stating "We are all here.....in worship of METAL"! to a (live) audience. This is not a comedy album. There is fine musicianship and great songs PLUS numerous in-jokes. The gatefold cover painting is awesome as well." Cocaine wars for cocained [people] pearl rocks | Los Angeles, ca United States | 08/26/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "I like the metal. This is the most fun metal has been in 2000 years since I was born. If you think...., bikers, ... & githyankis are hot, you'd better like crom or go back to your frat!....."
