""Well I woke up Saturday morning feeling sticky and dirty after work...took a walk downa riverside" Words that make you smile, and identify (recalling passing out on a Friday night, exhausted from hard, hard work). Such is the spirit of this Culture album that follows the very successful One Stone. We return to the somber, sometimes grim but always uplifting message of True Reggae as it was pioneered by people like Culture, Burning Spear, Wailing Souls and other fabled masters of "Roots and Culture" rockers. We struggle and "bringeth forth fruit in due season." I always wonder how Reggae manages to be so very religious without being cheesy like "Jesus Rock." Bands like Culture evoke the same devotional awe that Tibetan monastic chants seem to do. Such music draws us deep into contemplation, our breath gets slower, our eyes dim in introspection. And then all is suddenly well: "Jah Jah provides for the birds in the air and the fishes in the sea so what about me?...look at the (beasts), neither do they toil nor do they spin (and) yet Jah provides for them." This is deep faith communicated with the ceremonial intonements of a rabbinical scholar but with the irresistable, prideful strut of the Rastaman!"

"Thought provocing lyrics. No night in the zion has great horn throughout the track and a very catchy tune. I first heard it in Negril. A shop right next to Mr. Slice pizza on the beach was jammin it. It was stuck in my head for 3-days. I went back to the shop and bought it on tape. It was only recorded in mono so I was bummin until I found this great music site. I just ordered it. You should too. Riverside is a great tune about things you would see if you were just hanging on the bank of a river in JA.Walk with Jah is a song THE WHOLE WORLD SHOULD LISTEN TO. It's a message to people spreading negativity. It talks about how are you gonna walk with jah (walk with god) after all the bad you do. So shape up!"
