"This album shows gives a glimpse of all of Curtis' sides.
The political and spiritual with "Dirty Laundry." Which was in
the vein of "If There's a Hell below(We're All Gonna Go)"
although not quite as powerful. "come Free Your People" is a direct call for the return of Jesus Christ.
"She don't let Nobody but me" and "Nobody Like You"reminds me
that although he composed the soundtrack for the movie "superfly"
He emphasised monogamy in his life and music. If you want an overview of what made Curtis Mayfield unique,or if you miss him,
as I do, buy this. Not his biggest hits,but some of his best music."
