"It's a musical tragedy that this CD is out of print. It's a great recording and a great introduction to Curtis Salgado's dynamic brand of rhythm and blues. It seems to have been recorded not long after he cleaned up after a tough battle with addiction and a few years after John Belushi appropriated his act and turned it into the Blues Brothers. As he sings, "I didn't have a monkey on my back. I had the whole damn zoo." And it's hard to argue with a song titled "I Must Have Been Nuts." If you get a chance, grab this one."

"This man has a great voice. He has soul all the way down to his toes. Good songwriter too. Other Curtis albums are more consistent but all of them are worth owning."
