"D12's second album "D12 World" (2004) is a decent release. To be honest I have never been big into there work, I remember copping there first album and only liking a few tracks. Maybe this comes from me genuinely finding them to be a bit to out there using controversial lyrics to get attention and sell records. I generally dont care if millions buy a record, what matters to me is can I feel it, can I relate to it on some level, and can it get play in the ride. The lead single "My Band" is a somewhat funny track, Eminem's chorus and D12's lyrics make it a different but entertaining track. The video for this cut had me laughing...I think one of the good things about Eminem is he doesnt mind making fun of himself. Alot of early tracks just dont do much for me and fall under skip material, though there are definetly some standout tracks and for me they are "How Come", the pounding second single "40 Oz", and the grimey Dre produced "American Psycho II" feat. Breal of Cypress Hill. My favourite track is the deep "Good Die Young", D12 drops an excellent cut while talking about life and death, appreciating each day and remembering those who have past. Maybe this one is my fav because D12 deliver some real relevent lyrics and take things to another level. "D12 World" is a release I would recommend for D12 and Eminem fans. 3.5."

"After resting for three years as a group, D12 represents once again as they continue to expand their skills. Although not as good as Devil's Night, which connects with the listener immediately and provides more gangsta rap, D12 World is extrememly good after carefully listening to its lyrics. Eminem continues to show that he is the best rapper out there, hands down. His creativity in his lyrics leave you in awe as he twists words in "Bitch," but his usual flowing talent comes out in "6 In The Morning." The songs that Shady does not appear in allow Swift and Proof to display thier skills as well. Bizarre has his moments as usual but improves as a lyricist in this album. Combining the talent of producing and rapping by Eminem, and the individual styles of the rest of D12, this group shows that they can still keep ears listening, even if you don't like D12. Shady Records well done.
Favorite Songs: 6 In The Morning, How Come, Bitch"
Doesn't come close to Devil's Night

"Dont get me wrong, i like eminem and i like D12. This album out of the 21 tracks maybe has 5 good ones. The albums best are "how come" and "good die young". I was just very disapointed with the CD. With 21 tracks you know that there are gonna be many pointless skits and bad songs. I almost gave this album 3 stars, but it isnt worth that. What ever happened to the great songs like "fight music", "Revelation", "Pistol Pistol" and "That's How..." from Devils Night. I know this isnt the real D12 so hopefully they will come back strong."
It's Eminem's world; D12 just lives in it

"D12 - D12 World (Shady, 2004)Right off the bat, the beats are better on here, which is more than I can say for their last album, Devil's Night. Eminem doesn't rap much on here and it's a good thing because (1) it gives his group more chance to shine and (2) his delivery is the same in every song he's in. I used to like him for switching up his style every so often but he doesn't even do that anymore. All I'm left to do now is check out his lyrics, which are still on point but I think that Eminem's starting to wear out. He shines, though, on "How Come" and the lead single, "My Band". Speaking of that track, the chorus goes, "These chicks don't even know the name of my band." It's not that they don't know the name of it, it's the fact that we can't tell the difference between any of the other members. It's been three years and two albums and I still can't tell who's who in the group. All I know is who's the leader (Eminem) and who's the wack one (Bizarre--I can't BELIEVE I initially thought of him as a great rapper). And the only way I remember Proof is from his underground Promatic album. If you take a look at Wu-Tang Clan, each member has their own individuality. The members of D12 don't, at least it can't be seen yet. You also have to look at it from a solo rapper's perspective: he has to prove that he's different from every other rapper out there in the game, and that is what each member of this group should do.Unlike their last album though, there are some listenable and actually good songs like "B***h" and "Loyalty", and the group doesn't resort to shock rap as much this time around (except for Bizarre; please get rid of Bizarre). Actually, Em, just get rid of everyone, keep Proof and bring in Obie Trice (who shines on "Loyalty"). This album is definitely better than their first, but in the end, that's still not saying much. -EJR"

"I have a question. Why are there so many people reviewing this album that don't even like D12 in the first place? I mean of course ur gonna give it a 1 star so you got no place reviewing it cuz more than likely you have never even heard it. Oh and to A Music Fan, you probly just looked up some classic rap albums to list in your review. I bet you couldn't name one song off of straight outta compton, and by the way Eazy E's solo career sucked. And to whoever that guy was that dissed the Beastie Boys I got a finger for you as well, by the way look for the new Beasties album this June. Anyways back to the album, I think it was a great cd. I wasn't impressed by every song but it was a huge improvment from Devils Night. Once again they've decided to use their worst song and the first single but once I got the album I was shocked. Git Up, U R the one, How Come, Get My Gun, American Psycho 2, the Bugz freestyle, and Good Die Young were the best ones. Bizarre actually bust some impressive line whereas in Devils Night he was funny but no more than annoying skill wise. Ever time Eminem releases a solo album I have yet to be impressed, accept for his underground album infinite, if you can get that it is awesome. But when he raps with his group the really talented Mc comes out in him. I also hope this album will give the other five members the credit they deserve, Proofs solo album searchin 4 Jerry Garcia should come out this year so look out for that. Peace!"
