"What can I say...my review maybe a little biased because I think all moontribe Djs are trance Gods!! Brian's set is a true representation of what a full moon gatherings in the deserts of southern california are like. Your body will want to move to these tracks even if you don't want to!:-)) Think of yourself as belonging to a tribe and DJ Brian as the shaman of that tribe. As the shaman pounds the hypnotic beat on his drums, you WILL DANCE to summon the spirits! My personal favorites are: Track 2: Desert Voices Track 3: Snakemen-Medicine (Oliver Lieb delivers a track that embodies tribalism!) Track 8: SOL--Quantensprung (another masterpiece by Oliver Lieb..when that bassline kicks in..you will grin from ear to ear!) Track 10: Joshua Ryan- Pistolwhip (thats exactly what it is!)Once DJ Brian hooks you with the hard fast tribal trance sound....you will want more..I guarantee it! The answer comes in the form of a set by another Moontribe DJ...DJ Treavor. He has a CD out called Relentless: The Sound of Moontribe vol.1. This is by far the most pyschadelic trance set I have ever heard....you can only get it via special order as it is Moontribe's own new label.Brian's Hard Desert Trance 3 and Treavor's Relentless form a duo that will be unsurpassed in your cd collection! Just like these two DJs live 2x4 sets last summer, during the Sound Of Moontribe- Summer tour 2000, were the best I have ever heard."
Not the best, but definitely worth a listen

"I am frankly surprised by the glowing reviews that everyone else has given this album. To be honest, I was a little disappointed the first time I listened to this album, because there is very little in the way of melodic lines. Most tracks are dominated by hard but simplistic rhythms and electronic swooshes and bleeps. You have to be in the right mindset to appreciate this album, but once you know what to expect you will probably enjoy it--listening to this kind of trance will either alter your state of mind, or bore you with its simplicity. For fans of this specific type of trance, you will definitely not be disappointed."

"I own all three of the Hardesertrance series. In fact, one of the first techno CDs I ever purchased was Hardesertrance 1. I am a local DJ, so techno has become a big part of my life since then..I recommend this CD for any Trance lover. I like trance that has the high pitched mystical sounds, and solid deep pitched bass line backing it up."
Just say no to eurotrance

"Great disc... pulls that moontribe vibe into the present. great hard funky beats, never gets stuck in the psychaedelic trance rut... but brian doesnt forget his psytrance roots. a great balance between deep grooves and trippy synths. about as good as trance gets in the moonshine mainstream :)"
Wow this is some whack stuff.

"Once again DJ brian trips me the heck out. Beautiful mix that not only continues the strong line of trance albums in the Hardesertrance series but goes beyond the first two in terms of hard acid beats. The first one defined trance, the second showed you were it could melodically take you, this one throws you in an insane world of tribal soundz and chaos all coming down to a beat that just makes your head lose it. Great stuff for trance fans, this may lose some of you but believe me: if you want some crazy unique music check out dj brian."
