"Tiesto has finally achieved it. This must-have album is Tjis Verwest's initial attempt at producing an album that is truly his own masterpiece. "In My Memory" is mixed & produced by Verwest. The tracks are wonderfully mixed in the "Tiesto Style", and prove to be more than just Trance. Tracks such as Flight 643 & Suburban Train also have a Techno flavoring. "Battleship Grey" and "Obsession" are more Trancy. Tiesto has been producing & mixing for a long time (mixing for about 15 years), but he had never released a completely self-produced & mixed album until "In My Memory". This could mean nothing but great news for what's to come in the future from this demi-god of Trance genre. Tiesto has established his roots in Trance music and has become a very integral part of the Trance culture. One of the foremost mixers and producers of Trance to have ever lived. Tjis Verwest began DJing aroud the age of 14. He is now over 30 years old and has had countless gigs all over the entire planet. I have personally witnessed him exert deep passion in the form of trance during one of his sets. If you want to listen to his older work, check out "Forbidden Treasures". His biggest achievement to date is his ownership of "Black Hole Recordings". His record lable has had many massive releases. Also check out his "MAGIK" & "In search of Sunrise" series."
A step forward for Tiesto. An excellent album!

"For a trance solo album, Tiesto's new CD is unrivalled. I was hesitant to buy a Tiesto CD, because I am such a huge fan of fellow Dutch turntablist Ferry Corsten, all of whose CD's I highly recommend even to the most casual trance listener. I also don't like the first song I heard off this album, Flight 643. I find it annoying. This CD blew me away though. I am a fan of trance music that blends many styles together. Tiesto uses vocals as well as intense bass and very emotional sounds to create perfection. This is by far the best CD ever produced by Tiesto, a close second being the 'In Search of Sunrise' series. My favorite songs on this album are Magik Journey, Close to You, In my Memory and Suburban Train. There are few trance producers that can rival the talent in this album."

"Tiesto comes strong with his release of "In My Memory" -- even though it will leave most Tiesto fans a bit suprised at his change up on this album. The change is subtle, but this record is very "chillout" and great music to just relax to. Don't get dissapointed though! He comes strong with "Flight 643", a popular club hit that is very progressive and aggressive. It will have you dancing in your chair, or have your co-workers dancing in theirs or screaming to turn it down! Track 2 "Close to You" is a beautiful track with female vocals that will leave you in love with her. Track 1 "Magik Journey" will take you back to the "Magik" series almost, and gives you 10 minutes of great Tiesto-like music to build you up for the rest of the CD. Overall, "In My Memory" is a must have for any Tiesto / Trance fan and won't dissapoint you."
Tiesto: World's Number 1

"DJ Tiesto has done it again... he has won the coveted number 1 DJ title for the second year in a row. He deserves all the praise one can muster... and this CD is a great example of why. For all those people on this site who have already reviewed this disc, most of you do not know or care to know what you talking about. Tiesto is one of the world's greatest mixologists in the world today, and his live sets prove this fact. Nobody else, except Van Dyk, can make a crowd move the way Tiesto does. In time, these musicians feel they can contribute to the scene by releasing an ARTIST album, heck they already know what it takes to move a crowd... so why not try to do that with their OWN productions. That's what this is folks: an ARTIST album. Tiesto made this music himself, and unlike the Magik series or the Search for Sunrise series of discs, (which by the way, are at the pinnacle of mix albums on the market)they do not need to be mixed. As a matter of fact, they shouldn't be or the listener would not be able to appreciate each track for what it really is... exceptional production work. These tunes are not meant to move a saturday night crowd, but they can with other talented artists re-mixing them or if they are worked into a set in just the right way.Tiesto deserves praise for toning down the tempo in most of the songs here. In most cases, it doesn't work with other artists (case in point: Oakenfold's "Bunnka" and Van Dyk's "Reflections") but here, Tiesto has learned something through the years in his work in clubs... the originality is the key. Keep them coming back for more, and they will love you for it. It also helps when you don't get poppy and play radio-dance-crap fodder. There is none of that here, and as long as Tiesto does not sacrifice his originality any time soon, there will never be any."
Great production

"Okay, all you people that write online with reviews without thinking: First off this is not a compilation, this is a production. and one of his first if i believe so. I give Verwest props because trance alongside drum and bass is the hardest to produce, and he does it beautifull here. Standout tracks are magik journey, in my memory, obsession, flight 643, dallas 4pm and my favorite suburban train with that progressive drving beat. I would have to say this is one of the better trance productions out there. Very good. Anyone who gives this below a 3 star is ignorant. Get it."
