"I first heard of DJ Tiesto around 2 years ago, just when trance was starting to make its long expected comeback. I believe that Tiesto will be the one to pioneer trance into the future. This cd contains some great tracks and one or two above average tracks....but thats the beauty of it. Tiesto's mixing and production capabilities make every song sound awesome. Highlights in this album include Tiesto's Magikal Remake of Yahel's Going Up, Sisko - Light Over Me, Jaimy and Kenny D - Caught Me Running, DJ Tiesto's ever uplifting Sparkles(one of my fave trance tracks), Delerium - Silence (Tiesto's Remix....who else!!), and lastly Major League - Wonder, which Tiesto co-produced with Armin Van Buuren(another dutch producer/DJ).There are many other Tiesto albums/compilations better than this one, but since most people in the U.S can't get most of the others (The Magik Series {1-7}, In Search of Sunrise), this is an excellent first cd for Tiesto in your part of the world. He may not be as popular as Oakenfold, Sasha or Van Dyk, but he's probably better than any of them. Don't take my word for it..buy the album and experience it for yourself. Pumpin, melodic, uplifting.........Magical (or Magikal, as Tiesto spells it).P.S.....Try to go and hear him spin in clubs or live events. I guarantee it will be the best clubbing experience in your life."

"Over the past year or so, I have become more and more enraptured with Trance. It can be powerful and uplifting, it can be dark and mysterious, it can make you want to lie for hours in the dark with your eyes closed dreaming, or dance the nite away in a lasered, glow sticked, rollin-hard frenzy. All this magic is weaved threw the power of DJ's, which I put on the same level with composers like Mozart when it comes to mastery of music and emotion. There are many good DJ's out there, but Tiesto is the best of the best.Summerbreeze, DJ Tiesto's first American release is amazing. The track selection is perfect. It opens with the awe-inspiring Dido by Aria, that blooms with beats and vocals that sound straight out of heaven. The CD continues with the club-hit Dreaming by BT, who is a great talent himself, this song pounds away beautifully, beckoning you to the dancefloor. The next three tracks, Going Up by Yahel, Light Over Me by Sisko and Caught Me Running by Jaimy and Kenny D take you in another direction, on a sedated journey around your brain, or around the universe. The dreaming continues with songs 6-8, which are more melodic then the rest of the ablum. Dark Blue by Cabala, No More Tears by Allure and Far From Over by Kamaya Painters are slow and relaxing, and each song cascades into the next with no real peak. But they are still wonderful. Track nine rocks, Gothic Dream by Dawnseekers back-tracks and moves foward fast, higher and higher, and its momentum doesn't stop and flows flawlessly into track 10, DJ Tiesto's Sparkles, where the beats and melodies climb even higher, Sparkles is my favorite track. You want it to build and build into infinity. Instead you are brought back to Earth by the sweet voice of Sara MacLaclan on Silence by Delerium. Her voice more then the music carries the song, and she captures every song she sings so perfectly. And then the finale, Wonder by Major League, which exceeds Dido as the most powerful track on the ablum. With synths and swirls the that fall into deep powerful drums and then rise again into full on Ecstasy one wonders if mere mortals could have produced such music. This CD is a perfect example of why people sometimes say "God is a DJ". I highly recomend it, if you are first starting your Trance collection, or have been listening to it for years longer then I have. Five Stars!!"

"A met a guy on the Internet, and he introduced me to DJ Tiesto. About a month later, I bought this cd, and I signed my soul over to him. That was in late October of 2000. Coming on to two years later, I still pop it in the deck once in a while, and love every waking second of it.It begins with a deep, haunting intro. Aria's Dido is remixed by Armin, and done in truely perfect form. The intro soon moves into a pounding, melodic masterpiece. After a few minutes, the sounds of BT mix in, with the Libra mix of Dreaming. Then, your ears are exposed to some dreamy trance before Jaimy and Kenny D burst in with the fifth track, Caught Me Running. After totally getting you up and moving, Tiesto changes the style back to the dreamy, captivating trance. Track number 11 is the big hit. Tiesto's own remix of Silence by Delerium hits the decks and makes you wonder what God liked so much about Tjis Verwest. Although outdated and overplayed by now, it was once as popular as sliced bread. After houding the airwaves, the cd makes room for the conclusion, Wonder? by Major League. Not losing any of the momentum gained in Silence, Wonder? plays out with full intensity, and lets the cd finish in fantastic form. What amazes me about this cd is the mixing is so perfect that I could swear it was mixed electronically. When I asked DJ Tiesto, he insisted that he mixed it live on turntables. I won't hazard to guess how many studio takes he went through to produce something as perfect as this."
Very good CD

"This CD is a 73-min. DJ mix of quality trance, but not just any kind of trance -- it's the hard-pounding and fast (138-139 bpm) trance that's great for the dancefloor. Most songs have vocals, and all are full-length (on average 6:30); DJ Tiesto lets one track finish fully before mixing it with the next.Still, some tracks are better than others. Highlights include the hauntingly beautiful opening track by Aria; the second track "Dreaming" by BT; "Light Over Me," a pretty cool tune with funky vocals; and the mind-blowing last track that finishes off the CD, "Wonder," that features gorgeous synths and a great beat combined with a beautiful melody. (If you've heard Kimball Collins' ICU Generation Trance 2000, you know exactly what I'm talking about here.)The other tracks aren't bad -- on the contrary, they're also very danceable and good, they're simply not as memorable. Maybe I would have preferred to hear a couple more outstanding tracks (hence the 4-star rating), but on the whole this CD is very good. Also, from what I understand, this is the only recording by DJ Tiesto that's currently made in the US and doesn't have the extra import fee, which makes it even more appealing."

"Summerbreeze is fast-paced. The beats, I am guessing around 130BMP, borderlines between trance and house. If you have listened to his amazing, "in search of sunrise," you might be a bit disappointed with this one. Still, I think Summerbreeze great. Tiesto is not well recognized in the US. But, his talents are as impressive as other big named Djs like, Oakenfold, Van Dyk and Sasha. His mixes are flawless in this album. One thing that this album lacks is diversified moods--there's really no signifant ups and downs. If you are looking for a fast-paced, uplifting trance album, I would definitely recommend this one."
