CD Reviews
Worth it for the videos!

"Any Daft Punk fan knows that a "best of" collection is a pointless buy, since all their albums are fantastic from start to finish. However, this collection comes with a DVD of all their music videos. It's worth it for that, since all of them are top notch. Buy it for the videos, if you're just getting into Daft Punk I'd suggest buying their albums, and avoiding Daft Club and the Human After All Remixes at all cost."

"If you're like me, you've already got everyone of these tracks and remixs on Daft Punk's various albums, DVD's & singles. So you ask yourself "Why should I buy this album when I've already got all these tracks?" Well, with this collection you get the best of DP's tracks all on one disc. Whether you've been a fan like me over the years, or if you've just discovered them this collection definately does the Punk's right. This CD/DVD will make a worthy entry in anyones collection. Even if you don't think you know Daft Punk, I can almost garuntee that you do. With tracks like "Around The World", "Da Funk", "One More Time" & the now just as classic "Human After All" it's a safe bet you've heard them at least once in your life time before."
"Daft Punk is one of those groups that is able to combine techno and electronic music into the simplest forms of music that tops even some of the hardest dance tunes (examples of SIMPLE: Around The World, Da Funk, Robot Rock). I found Daft Punk a little bit harder to get familiar with, cause I thought their work was very different from the usual techno you hear nowadays (The Chemical Brothers, Underworld, etc). A lot of people say that Daft Punk is one of those groups that is in its own genre of techno and electronic music, but I disagree. A lot of other DJ's have become familiar with their work and enjoy re-working their music, making their songs through mixes/remixes more recognizable. Since their last album (Human After All), they've made quite an exception in the world of techno and electronic music. Musique, Vol. I brings together their best (Something About Us, Technologic, Revolution 909, etc...), along with three remix tracks towards the end of the CD. The DVD is definitely worth the extra couple bucks added onto the $19.99. The music videos are very unique and are well put together w/ each song. Daft Punk fans will enjoy this Singles set."
The Videos Make It Worth It

"I am the worlds biggest Daft Punk Fan. Having all thier previous work, even the 'hard to find' stuff, this CD was of no use to me other than for nostalgic purposes... that is until I learned of this edition, which includes a special DVD with all of thier music videos to date. Right there I knew I had to own this gem. Worth the buy for the unique videos, especially Around The World.
I do have to point out that the quality of the video could have been better, as I have seen Daft Punk music videos on DVD (like the collection of video from Micheal Gondry) that were higher quality, so I know it isnt the video itself, but none the less its only something a videophile would really notice."
