"I discovered this cd when I popped it in the stereo of my car one snowy night ( it had been left behind by a friend of my brother). The owner never saw it again. This has become my favorite music to brew beer by. A cd full of fingerpicking delights, it features guests like Doc Watson. Starting with the toe tapping "Steel Guitar Rag", Hull & Co. progress through classics like "St. Anne's Reel", and "Blackberry Blossom" to finish with "New Camptown Races". If you are a fan of fine ragtime guitar, this is going to become a very well-loved addition to your collection."

"Did you ever notice how well potatoes, onions and pepper go together in a potato pancake? It's so good, you just know there must be a God and he made humans with hands and feet just to find these things and bring them together to make pancakes. Well, that's what listening to Dave Hull (guitar), Peter Ostrushko (mandolin, fiddle) and Butch Thompson (clarinet, piano) is like. These guys were meant to play together. They each have their own swing sensibility that they bring to a traditionally bluegrass repertoire, and a sense of syncopation that they manage to convey both within their individual playing and as an ensemble. Add the great Doc Watson and what you have here is a heart happy, witty music that is never patronizing or facile."
