"The third volume of "Les Annees Orlando" series, "Une Vie" boasts a brilliant collection of songs, perhaps unjustly so that one volume would hold so many shining works! At times nostalgic, at others profoundly existential, and at others yet colorful with catchy show tunes, this is one BIG CD! The title track "Une Vie", is nothing less that a precious little gem, Life distilled into a song "a la Dalida". "Parle Plus Bas" is Dalida's heartfelt rendition of "Sing Softly Love", a ballad for the hopelessly in love. "Non", is one resounding shout of refusal, and "Les Choses de l'Amour" is all the little souvenirs of Love, or a love, captured in one most memorable track! The infamous "Parole Parole" with Alain Delon is truly the "caramel, bonbons et chocolats" of love disillusioned, followed by "Il Faut du temps", for everybody who has loved and is struggling to banish those memories out of their mind... The nostalgic sweet "Temps De Mon Pere". "Chanter les voix" with its haunting melody carried over a chorus of children. "Monsieur L'Amour", one catchy sung-letter to "Mr. Love", a song you'll be humming as you walk down the street alone at night. And the gem of them all, "Pour Ne Pas Vivre Seul": painfully lucid, passionately existential, the essense of the human condition in song. "Toutes Les Femmes Du Monde" is one anthem full of life, the Dalida under the spotlight with a wide smile, vibrant colors, and that attitude!"
Dalida always a sensation!

"I have always loved the voice and songs of Dalida. This CD is special to me because it contains the rarely heard song Le Temps de Mon Pere. It is beautiful and full of sweet sorrow for the days of childhood. 3 or 4 of the other songs were also new to me and I loved them right away. Dalida never ceases to amaze me even after her tragic death. She seems more alive now than ever and her voice is one of the most remarkable voices in the world. Thank you Amazon for providing the individual CD's of a big boxed set that I couldn't buy because i already have most of Dalida's songs."
