Damo Suzuki - 'The Fire Of Heaven At The End Of Universe' (V

"As most of you know, former Can vocalist Damo Suzuki does, in fact have an awfully lot of live CD releases out. 'Fire Of Heaven' was recorded on March 5, 2006 at the UFO Club in Tokyo. Really enjoyed the opening track "The Crystal Desert" (seems to be improvised), "Moonlight Warrior" is a long-winded Avant Garde piece that features some rather odd noise sampling - though the tune gets better as it progresses and the twenty-eight minute epic "Dress Your Girl" is a bit stagnating. "Another Dirty Weekend" employs a full throttled psychedelic vibe to it. This Polish import CD has been best described as 'trans-kraut psychedelic'. Line-up: Damo Suzuki-vocals, Kenji Sato-bass, Hoppy Kamiyama-keyboards, Yuji Katsui-violin and Tatsuya Yoshida-drums. Disc gets better with each spin."
