CD Reviews

A big fat waste of money!

"i liked "We Used To Be Friends" and thought "Bohemian Like You" was a lot of fun, so i figured the Dandy Warhols would do something similarly cool with "Call Me" and "Relax." wrong-o! both covers are flat-out BORING. the words are sung in a droning monotone and the instruments have none of the punch and energy of the originals. they sound like they were recorded for no other reason than to lure in eager fans with the promise of "exclusive, previously unavailable tracks." you don't even get the sense that the band LIKES the songs they're covering. the only reason i give it any stars at all is because of tracks 1 and 4, but if you have the albums from which they are pulled, this single is essentially worthless. spend your hard-earned cash elsewhere, this is nothing more than another record company ploy to get you to pay big bucks for an import CD of little value. i got suckered into buying it but you don't have to."
