"I gave this CD five stars, but I would have given him 10! Danny Wood is truly an artist. I believe that Danny was blessed to have gotten into the entertainment world through NKOTB, but being a part of the group did not do him justice as an individual artist, singer, and songwriter.
Second face is a genuine look into Danny's life and career over the past decade. The first track "HOME", is dedicated to his mother that has passed on; it makes anyone that listens wonder if they can make it `home'. Danny, with the help of a friend, Pete Masitti, wrote most of the songs/lyrics on `Second face'. Which goes to show that he is a true artist!
I believe that these songs could make the top 10, if only they were given the airplay they deserve, and the marketing that it takes to get the music out there. I am more than happy that this is a part of my CD collection and it is in constant spin on my disk changer. Danny should get out on the road and tour so that we can hear these songs live!

"I wasn't prepared for how emotional and personal the songs would be! The song for his mother "Home" was very touching. The whole thing is a Must Buy! The bonus tracks are great! #17 made me cry since my husband is in the war. He definately shows his many talents in this cd. Thanx Danny for so many songs I can relate to!!!"

"My buddy J abs was a huge New Kids fan as I was and he told me that Danny Wood had a solo project. I spit my nachos all over him in disbelief. How could he withhold that kind of information from me for 10 years? Needless to say, we are no longer friends. That's neither here nor there, let's just focus on the music. I love NKOTB, but sometimes you've just got to admit when something is better. I sadly realize NKOTB held Danny back. This tour de force is 8 times better than anything the quintet could imagine doing. I listened to "Goodbye" and literally cried for 5 hours. I hadn't cried like that since Ben Gessford went pro. Wood's songwriting makes Bob Dylan look like a pre-schooler. He hits home with song after song. It's like he climbed inside me for two weeks and lived my life before compiling this cd. "Molly" is my favorite song off this album. Who am I kidding, it's my favorite song ever written. This album inspires you to be a better person. After hearing it, I started donating my time to charitable causes like the Burns' fund. This fund takes donations to buy vans to transport drunk people to the closest Waffle House for some Hash browns.
I'm a better person for listening to this album and the world is a better place because Danny made it."

"First Off I was amazed at how personal this album is. I think it is just fantastic. Anyone who enjoys really good music this is a must listen. Forget all the things you thought you about Danny Wood. Just sit down close your eyes, your about to be taken on a great ride. Broke me down is by far one of my favorites. Also Fall is just great. The song Home about his mothers death is just so great it is truly painful, and brought tears to me eyes. Great job, Danny"

"If you are expecting anything relating to the NKOTB, don't even bother. This album, I would argue, was ahead of its time. It stands against the current wave of popular music in 2007. This album showcases the work of a talented artist that has grown, matured, and soulfully expressed himself through song. I am truly impressed with Danny Wood's cd. It was pleasantly refreshing and good. It's worth the purchase."
