"this is probably the biggest disapointment I've ever had in a CD. When I bought this I was expecting the crazy Das Efx from Sewaside, Dead Serios and hold it down. If you know das efx then don't get this album. The beats are all the same and the lyrics are wack compared to what they used to be."
An Average Release From The Innovators of the "No Diggety" S

"6 years and 3 albums after their debut "Dead Serious", the collective duo of Drayz and Books release "Generation EFX" the title in strong reference of the popular generation x that spread like wildfire in the late 90's and in an attempt to keep up with the progression of mainstream hip hop, Das fell right in line with the rest of the pack. Gone were the "straight from the sewer", rugged and rough rhymes and in comes the well known hip hop/r&b collaboration that became the rave in hip hop in the late 90's. Also becoming close to absent were the "diggedy, widdedy" rhyme flows that put Das at hip hop's pinnacle in the early 90's(by the time, their most recent album to date "How We Do" was released, you didnt hear the "diggedy" maybe once, if you were lucky). As a fan, I was disappointed in the fact that Das felt like their name would have been forgotten about if they didnt join the ranks of "party pop" hip hop but I can understand their overall logic behind "Generation EFX" and many fans enjoy the "new" Das, personally, I'll stick with the classics."

"Das Efx is the only group to keep the same phat style over the years. I have been a true fan from the beginning. The HIT SQUAD is the illest in inventing the phatest beats, the base is unbeleivable."
