Too much neglected

"Although a Kingston Trio fan from way-back-when, I'd never bought this one, probably because I hadn't seen any review of it, and, there were just too many other things worth pursuing.

But, despite the critical neglect (and my own) of this album, it is very much worth the listen. Backing up Guard is a healthy bunch of fine musicians (including Tommy Makem on tin whistle)and good singers. And, despite the three folk rock cuts that start the album, there's plenty of what you'd hope for in an album of Guard's later work. For me, a fine surprize.
