"One of the first "vinyl" albums I purchased back in the very early 1980's was Y&T's "Black Tiger." I was 16 at the time, and bought it just because the album cover was way cool (black tiger....go figure). I had no idea it was the beginning of a long and amazing journey and love affair with Dave and his band(s). I have always had a special spot in my heart for Dave's playing, because no matter what the song subject matter entailed, you could taste the stinging blues flavor in his playing and singing. I have a tremendous admiration for those master "slingers" who sing to their compositions because they believe their voice fits the musical style and playing the best (Terrible Ted, Johnny Winter, Gary Moore, Dave Meniketti, Zakk Wylde; crossing generations and musical states). This album simply oozes soul, and Dave's playing is intricately a bluesy, smokin' rock! Though maybe not the most technically competent player, Dave mixes the compositions up so that the synergisitic sum of the parts exceeds any other guitarists' works I have heard in a VERY long time. I have seen Y&T three times over the course of 20 years, and the shows are pure energy; always sounding better than any their studio recordings. Dave "blazes" live! This album is a must for fans of Y&T, Dave Meniketti, blues based hard rock and guitar officionados. If you EVER get a chance to see him/them live, as the days of this ilk and quality of musicians are numbered, SEE THEM! I will refund your money if you are in the least bit disappointed!"
Dave Meniketti still has it after all these years

"This album is pure blues/rock enjoyment. I first heard some of his tracks on live365.com blues stations and had to have this album. After listening to the rest of the album, it has not left my CD changer. Dave's voice coupled with his guitar style make for a really awesome album. I highly recommend it, I especially
like "Loan me a dime" that track is unbelievable and "Take it like a man"."

"Except for "Mans World" this album kicks the blues up a notch, past Walter Trout. Definitely an EVH influence, shred w/ pinch harmonics, my but this guy can play!"
Meniketti the most underrated rock guitarist of all time!

"Meniketti for those who know about
real rock & roll bands is the singer
& guitarist from Y&T! This blues LP
is not the hard rock he's used to
playing but it is more rock than
blues. The guitar work is just
incredible. I would say a lot
like Gary Moore's first blues
album but little harder. Some
of the guitar songs are pure
magic. Every time I listen to
him play it's just amazing
this guy isn't in the same
conversation with other of
the so called great rock
guitarist. Also his vocals
are amazing and get over
looked also! What is wrong
with the musical world!
This is pure genius & more
people should hear great
music like this! I'm so sick
of the crap I hear & see out
there! If you got any balls
buy this and any of Y&T's
albums and be blown away!"
Great music
