CD Reviews

It's so funny, it's worth the money...

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Dave is a Chicago-area singer/songwriter who is best-known for his wild children's concerts and hilarious songs for the under-10 set like "Aunt Sarah's Got a Booger." He does, however, perform for college crowds and he also releases CD's aimed at adults from time to time. This one, funny parodies of holiday classics, is a lot like the more famous "Twisted Christmas" by Bob Rivers. It is just as good, too. If you'd like a laugh this coming Christmas season, try to find a used copy of this via Amazon, or visit Dave's website to see if the man himself has any copies left. You can't buy mine, because in the two years we have owned it we have played it to death in December, and at least once in each summer. My daughter, age 10, with luck won't ever want an alcoholic drink in her life after hearing "Oh Tom Got Bombed" to the tune, of course, of "Oh Tannenbaum." She loves this song, even though she probably doesn't understand half of it. Other great novelties are "Oh Come, Oh Come, I READ the Manual!", and "Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney Flue" and "Shovel Snow, Shovel Snow, Shovel Snow". Also super are "The First Bowl Game" (tune of "First Noel") and "The Little Dumber Boy" and "Folly, Old St. Nicholas." It's all good. Thanks, Dave."
