Product DescriptionThe concertos featured on this two-disc set have two things in common: they are rarely performed, and the piano plays the leading role. Carl Czerny was a student of the great Beethoven, and a famous pianist and teacher in his own right. His prodigious technique is obvious in the works selected here, particularly his Concerto for Piano 4 hands. Giovanni Viotti was widely known as a violinist, and many of his violin pieces are part of the standard repertoire. His Concerto No. 19, featured here, he arranged for piano solo and orchestra.
