CD Reviews

Bad (meaning good) stuff!

"Unfortunately, I only recently learned about Mr. Dyson's solo recording career. When I visited Marimelj Entertainment Group's website to check out the latest happening's, I clicked on David's biosketch and realized he was the bass player I had experienced at two concerts of Me'shelle Ndegeocello in the last year. My impression after each of those concerts was "that guy on the bass was fierce." Once I realized David was the guy I had heard with Me'shelle, I knew I had to get the cd. And I was not disappointed. David displays some serious bass playing and melody making skills. I'm sure that as he matures, his skills and repertoire will become as reknown as two of my favorite bassists, Marcus Miller and Stanley Clarke. However, this cd deserves experiencing on its own merits. I so look forward to new recordings from this artist."

"Say him at Blues Alley playing with Marcus Johnson and the whole time we were wondering who was this guy on the bass. He reminded me of Stanley Clark. Bottom line is that hey is unbelievable and it shows on the CD. Highly recommended."
Keeping it in the Pocket!

"The tone , approach, and rythms he displays in his music on this cd, makes me feel like I've known him all of my life. I'm a bass player and I love to pluck and thump. He feeds every area of my musical imagination with each song as they rumble through my system. Even the slow tracks are so sharp that I don't skip over any of them to listen to the next track. If your a serious bass player, then you must experience the true meaning of being one with your instrument...Daid Dyson's Soulmates is the first step towards that experience!"
