One of the best cd's of the last ten years

"I was told to buy this cd upon recommendation from a friend. Although I have been a fan of jazz trombone for many years, I had never heard Mr. Gibson. I was completely and totally blown away! Dave has a big, beautiful, sweet sound and an amazing command over over both the instrument and melody. He reminds me of J.J. Johnson and Slide Hampton but Dave has a style all his own. The recording is very clear and and his band is a well oiled swinging machine. I hope to see more from this young master of the trombone. If you are a jazz fan you simply must own this cd."
