"After getting all of these singles due to my need of owning everything David Gray has ever released and after reading quotes of him saying that he has recorded tons of songs not included on the studio album I can honestly say that "Life in Slow Motion" should have been a double album. A fine example is this single of "Hospital Food". One of the only fast songs on the album. Full of high octane and yet just as emotional as the other songs from his latest release. Full of tight harmony and raw sincerity this song is enough for the single alone. Thankfully the owner gets more such as a live version and 2 previously unreleased songs such as his cover of Randy Newmans "Baltimore" that Gray instantly makes his own. The other highlight of this single is "Crimson Lightning" which again displays his natural ability to write amazing lyrics and craft beautiful melodies. If this is an example of songs that he didn't feel were worthy of being included on the studio album then I can't wait to hear what else he has left off. I hope this helped:)"
