CD Reviews

Loved this since I was 9 years old

"I received the record in 1984 when I was 9. As a huge fan of Knight Rider, I could not wait to get the album. It was released January 1st, but I had to wait until the end of April, when I got it for my birthday. The fact that David sang was alluded to on Knight Rider, as he performed the song "Our First Night Together" on an episode.

I know that it sounds cheesy, but I still have the original record, and 24 years later, I can still sing every word to every song! David actually has a truely wonderful voice. He was never widely accepted here in the US like he was in Germany, and that is a shame. I remember that he performed the song "Do You Love Me?" from the album on Dick Clark's New Year's Eve program.

My personal favorites are "No Way To Be In Love", "Our First Night Together", and "Let It Be Me", all of which he sings beautifully. Most of the songs on this album are covers of songs from the 50's and 60's, but they are very tastefully done.

Maybe I am just sentimental, but this album will always be a part of my childhood, and I have a special place for it in my heart. I think you will enjoy it too."

"I am glad I was able to lay hands on a copy of David Hasselhoff's first album. It confirms what I have always known, the 80s produced good music."
Astonishing

"This cd is nothing short of mind blowing! I downloaded several tracks from the Hoff's debut cd in order to impress my co-workers at CHW Stockton... and boy were they impressed, and that's putting it mildly. My brain cannot fathom enough positive adjectives to describe the skillful workmanship of this musical opus. I highly recommend the title track, an ode to Hasselhoff himself that begins with an emphatic "WHOO", then proceeds to euphoric proportions- guaranteed to leave listeners entranced. It's as if he has set off on a musical journey to create a listening orgasm for his audience on every track...as put in his own poetic words "I want to love you with my song". Hasselhoff has the charisma of a true rock star, and the voice of an angel. Share this with your loved ones, 'Night rocker' makes a fabulous christmas gift. 5 stars- Gary D"
