Knapp brings on the diva circuit anthems

"Doing what he does best, David Knapp spins the strongest diva tracks around, with basically no filler, and many big names in vocalists and remixers. It's a non-stop party from start to finish. The only real disappointment is that some of these hard to find tracks don't play out for even 5 minutes. Track times and notes:
1. not ready to make nice...southern belles (5:15) (simple yet effective circuit cover version of the Dixie Chicks track--good way to ease us into the peak hour stuff to come)
2. it's not right but it's okay...dennis Christopher (5:41) (don't know why anyone feels the need to do a cover of a club anthem that was done to perfection by Whitney and Thunderpuss. The bright side is that this disco-influenced mix is not bad, and the vocal and background vocal are nearly identical to the whitney vocal track. You'd be hard pressed to realize it ISN'T her vocals. Wow.)
3. DJ Made Me Do It...Robin (7:30) (Rosario is at his mixing best here, the chorus hook is diva perfection, it's just the sort of rap/talk verses that bring the song down a notch)
4. lost yo mind...pepper mashay (good tribal circuit stuff with Pepper's usual fierce vocal)
5. It's My Life...S Blush (7:39) (Tony Moran is at his best, and the vocals are great...but it feels like this is more of a dub, because it's mostly instrumental)
6. Tonight...sonique (4:25) (an okay, kind of mellow track from Sonique, but it's nice to see her vocals in the mix again)
7. believe in us...joi cardwell (4:47) (WHY is this not even 5 minutes worth of the song? This is one of the strongest Cardwell tracks I've heard in a while. Fantastic)
8. Party People...Altar with Jeanie Tracy (7:53) (one of the stronger mixes of this number one billboard dance hit--none of the mixes surfaced on commercial CD, so having nearly 8 minutes of this mix is a treasure)
9. make it happen...maya azucena (6:23) (What can I say? A perfect female vocal circuit track. Lot's of attitude)
10. Be My Boyfriend...Offer Nissim with Maya (6:46) (Only one of the biggest dance collaborations around, so you can't go wrong putting them on here)
11. Free My Love...Suzanne Palmer (7:37) (Another huge club artist whose mixes are always welcome)
12. Your Love Is Lifting Me Higher...Gioia Bruno (5:23) (Gioia manages to keep this hokey, often covered song from decades ago from being ,well, hokey. Great mix, should have given us more than 5 minutes of it. I haven't seen it on CD anywhere else)
