"I've never heard more perfect star-gazing music than what's on this albumn. Reflective, contemplative, deep, whatever word you like to use to describe excellent space music, use it here. I think the last three tracks are incredible, with "Safe Journey" being the best.
A shame David Lange's "Return of the Comet" is not more widely known."

"This was my very first foray into space music... but back when the original 'tape' came out (remember those?). Since then, it has been my favorite music EVER!
Play this music, close your eyes, and you will be transported to Comet Halley on its circuit through the Solar System."
Excellent Album

"I used to kind of hang out with Dave and my wife use to work with him here in San Francisco. Dave did all the work on the album himself with, if I remember correctly, a Yamaha DX7 and a Korg something or other. I thought I had lost my copy of the album and just found it the other day after looking on Amazon for copies of the album.
In addition to various synthed instruments, he also used/manipulated various other sounds. For instance, in the title track, "Return of the Comet", what sounds like a cymbal crash, was actually the sound of a car splashing into water that he morphed.
This is NOT some Yanni type dreck. The album is an excellent example on the type of "new age" music that came out in the 80s. More importantly, it continues to stand the test of time and is still VERY listenable."
