CD ReviewsIn a word - Fantastic! Lisa Lamkin | Seattle, WA, USA | 10/28/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "David McLauchlan is a fantastic musician, with a musical talent that is rarely seen (or should I say, heard?). The power and emotion that he conveys seems effortless... His original works on the album are haunting, moving, and utterly enchanting. And I can honestly say that his interpretations of popular songs truly do them justice, which is a rarity these days. This album is perfect to listen to most any time, and is one that you can set on repeat, and never turn off! Seldom do I recommend an album to EVERY person that I know, but this is most definitely one that I can. If you enjoy good music, you would be doing yourself a disservice to not give this one a try. Two enthusiastic thumbs up - way up." Incredibly talented pianist, great, geat songs G. Thornley | Bellevue, WA USA | 08/03/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "David McLauchlan gets so many different emotions out of one instrument, he should be categorized as a musical actor. He is a truly gifted musician who can take on a wide range of material and make all of it his own. I love this album, and it rarely comes out of my CD player. I just wish there were a sequel (hint hint)." Some of my favourite songs... G. Thornley | 11/07/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "David's album contains a great range of my favourite songs from a variety of popular artists, like Elton John and Bryan Adams. Not normally being a fan of hearing my favourites 'pillaged' by other artists I can honestly say I loved David's interpretations. The album also has a couple of David's own original works which are sure to become classics in their own right. You'll find listening to the album a soothing and relaxing experience and I urge you to go out and get a copy."
