One of the Best Soundtracks that got No Attention

"This soundtrack is amazing!!! The themes and orchestration along with the haunting vocals are wonderful and moving! What can I say? I have listened to this soundtrack above all my other ones for the longest non-stop time. If you loved the score to Anastasia (by David Newman), A.I.(by John Williams), or enjoy the CD, The Prayer Cycle (by Jonathan Elias), you will love this. It is very ethnic, while classical, almost Celtic while middle eastern. The only problem is that I wish it was longer, and was able to develop the themes better. Also, I highly recommend The Prayer Cycle, it sounds almost exactly like Affair of the Necklace and the song from it used in the movie should have been in the Soundtrack.
The instruments used were the piano, harp, alto flute, harpsichord, choir of course and some ethnic percussion."
"Affair of the Necklace"- Close, but no cigar

"For those of you who were left breathless by the opening credits, due to the unbelieveably powerful music, this album is not for you. Fifteen dollars and fifty some-odd minutes of my life were wasted waiting for that fantastic piece of music that never made an appearance on this otherwise tasteful, though uninspiring, album. That superb masterpiece you are looking for can be found on Jonathan Elias' CD "The Prayer Cycle". Again, I must remind the reader that "The Affair of the Necklace" soundtrack was no slouch of a hack-work; there were a great deal of pleasant and meditative niceities on it. But my reason for buying it was missing."
Music is nice, but too short...

"Many times, especially the first piece, "Openning," starts off very nice and the listener is starting to feel and get into it, but the song aburptly stops and goes on to the next song.
Again, the music is nice, but it is annoying how sometimes you get 'cut off at the knees' by some songs. Nice music, but many songs too short."
