CD Reviews

Rock AIN'T dead.. Simple as that..

(4 out of 5 stars)

"I won't give this 5 stars only because I like Velocity's 'Impact' a tad better. This is an all-around strong release in the AOR subgenre, aka big-hair rock or 80's rock. David Victor has shown thru his energy, enthusiasm and dedication to his art, that it is possible to be heard as a straight-ahead rock 'n' roller in the 90s and into the next millenium. The tunes on this release are consistently hooked & melodic, and the arrangement and texture are superior. If you're tired of the current stylings of popular music [or always were], help David paint a brighter picture of our pop-music future.. Buy it.."
This is a great gift to Velocity fans.

"I've been trying to gift Velocity's IMPACT for probably close to a year now. I finally got it and it rocks. Hard drivin' grooves in "You don't amaze me anymore" to awesome melodies in "Janine" This band is a gift to all those 80's rockers. So I was thrilled to hear about David Victor's cd, "Proof through the night". This cd sounds just like Velocity. Thanks for not changing with the times!!! Keep on making music."
David Victor Is Proof That Good Rock N Roll Lives

"Wow! I bought Velocity by the artist Impact. Impact is really David Victor and two other guys who put together a good album. But David Victor's first release, Proof Through The Night, is just awesome! Other than some rework on the drums, David Victor sings, plays guitar, bass, everything on this album and it is superb. It is a great slice of 80's style melodic rock.Every single song is great and he just pulls it off well. I particularly like (we go) Tonight, Summer Rules, To The Top, Stand By Me and One Minute To Midnight. If you like Velocity's Impact release, this one is a bit more "pop-ish," but I like it much better. If you like this release, try Hardline's Double Eclipse or Danger Danger's debut or Screw It releases. Rock on!"
