"I truly have to praise God for these brothers they have blessed my entire family with the sound of their music and not only that the lyrics are so profound you just know that they had to have sought the LORD before writing. This CD is for people of all ages that truly enjoy urban GOSPEL. When I got saved I said Lord I love R & B but I love you more and God sent DAWKINS & DAWKINS my way and they truly blow it out. This CD may be old but it seems like it's for today. They truly are before their time. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THEIR NEXT CD!!! I WISH THEY WOULD HURRY UP!!![.] WORK ON THEIR HEARTS LORD TO GO IN THE STUDIO A LOT SOONER. WE ALL NEED TO PRAY FOR THESE BROTHERS TO CONTINUE TO REACH YOUNG PEOPLE WITH THIS HIP AN ANNOITED SOUND!!"

"Well I can start out by saying I saw this group about 7 months ago on TBN it was a older show back in 1996 or something like that but every since I saw them sing I just could'nt help but to try tobuy the tape. So I tried about 3 video stores for this tape and none not one had the CD so I tried my church book store and they tried to order it and they did not have becuse they said when they tried to order it, it was sold out of print. Now I have fINALLY found the place to get all my cristian music at amazon.com ThanksP.S. That is how much I like this singing group."

"Aanson & Eric Dawkins are talented from the singing, to the production skills. Aything they produce (Aanson & Eric-Rythem & Praise inc. And Eric with celebrity status inc.) I try to get my hands on it. This album is one of the thousands of CDs that I have that I can listen to all the way through without skiping a track. This album has much flava and will move you phically, and spiritally without a doubt. Thes two brothers are part of the reason I'm doing music today. When there dad would come to our church (from Stubenville,Oh) to preach, he would use Aanson & Eric to give the musical selections. Eiric would play keyboards and Aanson would play drums, and they would both sing. Back then I was a kid then and they where teens. But I learned a little bit from them then and learning a whole-lot from 'em now."
Great!

"This CD is good - very good! I found the CD here at Amazon, and listened to the samples. I have had the CD in my collection for some time now, and I still listen to it alot. I even think it has got better over time. Listen to the lyrics and let them speak to you!"
One Of The Originators Of The Rhythm & Praise

"Dawkins & Dawkins released one of the great gospel CD's of '98 called "Focus" which was one of the first gospel CD's that I purchased after I turned my life over to God. The CD had some of the heavyweight producers in the gospel industry at that time. The producers of note was Warryn Campbell(Mary Mary), Rodney & Fred Jerkins(Mary J. Blige & more), Fred Hammond, PAJAM(J. Moss & Paul Allen) & Dawkins & Dawkins. The CD starts of with the trademark called "Rhythm & Praise" in which Warryn Campbell drops a dope west coast beat while the two brothers lace the track and then Rodney & Fred Jerkins produces the next two tracks called "Focus" & "Wrapped Up"(which has a great carribean sound to it. Fred Hammond produces his only song on the album called "Your Joy" which a great praise song while the "Be With You" interludes should had been consolidated with track 14. Then "I'll Always Be Around" is another great production from Warryn Campbell who make a mid-tempo beat for listener. Track 7 is kind of intriging because you would think that a title called "Child Of God" would be a great praise & worship song but it is great uptempo cut from J. Moss & PAJAM with J. Moss adding the rap & the hook. Track 8 "Need To Know" is probably the song that stands out that a lot of rhythm & praise artists can remember listening to on the radio and seeing the video. Once again Fred & Rodney Jerkins of darkchild puts together a great beat while Dawkins & Dawkins tells a great story all of the things that you need to know about in regards to your salvation. Then the next song is another praise song called "Praisin' On My Mind", then J. Moss wraps up his production with "Not Just Anybody" and the rest is self-observation. Overall a great album in which I believe is their third album after their self-titled debut. The last time that I can recall hearing anything from them was a track that they produced on Trinitee 5:7 called "What He Wants". We need some more r&p like this. God Bless!!!"
