"The fourth solo from Daz Dillinger is by far his best solo effort to date and proof that despite what some critics may think, he can survive without former partner, Kurupt. While previous efforts like "R.A.W." and "This Is The Life I Lead" capatilized more on the rugged sound of the L.A. underground, Daz is back to rocking them funky beats, courtesy of Soopafly and Fred Wreck. Also of interest, Daz's big cousin, Snoop Dogg is all over this release. The two seemed to have had a falling out since their days on Death Row but their reunion on the title track as well as the bangin' "I Got Dat Fire" proves that Tha Pound is still alive and well. The quality of this release feels more like it should have dropped on a major than an independent label and hopefully, the lack of major distribution doesn't hurt it too bad.For those longtime DPG fans who got turned off by the hard-edged sound of Daz's last couple of releases, "DPGC" returns to the old party-style themes explored in the classics such as DOGGYSTYLE and DOGG FOOD. A bonus DVD with lots of behind-the-scenes footage also makes for some good added value."

"Daz Dillinger's new album `DPGC That's What I'm Throwin Up' isn't the great release it was supposed to be. It's still a good album just not the classic like we all expected from Daz. The biggest thing you will notice is that the production is handled by Soopafly ( mostly ). This gives the album a non Daz Dillinger sound. In other words the beats are too 'happy' sounding if that's a good word. Not saying that that's a bad thing...it's just a change from a usual Daz album...for better or for worse. Another gripe is the COMPLETELY USELESS, NON FUNNY, UNINFORMATIVE FILLER SKITS!!!!! The album has AT LEAST 7 skits taking up space and it makes for a choppy listen. Skit, song, skit, song song, skit, interlude. 13 skit/interlude/intros/outros. It gives the album a deceiving 31 tracks and it makes for an uneven listen. Daz, word of advice, never put another skit on your album for as long as you live. Given all that bad stuff the album has some redeeming qualities in it. Daz Dillinger's rapping has gotten much smoother and his writing has improved on every release and this cd is no different. Songs such as `Ill Beacho Azz', U Ain't Shhh, It's Dat Gangsta Shhh, Skirt Out, Don't Stop, Title Track, Gangsta Party II, I Got Dat Fire, the whole album is bumping. Daz does his usual dissing of THA Row and even takes a stab at Ja Rule on `U Ain't Shhh". My favorite song on the album is `I got Dat Fire' with a great laid back vibe and Snoop just straight up flowing on this track...what a great song. I haven't had the time to look at the bonus DVD but it promises to be hot.Daz Dillinger's album delivers the goods. If only Daz could blow up...that would be a site to see. Get this album immediately along with the `Welcome To Tha Chuuchhouse Mixtape Vol. 1' (a great mix tape) which can be found for the freeskee at Daz's site dpgrecordz.com. Support Daz because he is an independent artist who has been dropping good to great albums without any sort of props or recognition."

"All i can say is damn. This album is Daz's tightest ever and now that kurupt signed with deathrow he is out of DPG an not on this album which is good.Daz is way better with the rest of the real DPG like snoop, bad azz, tray D an this album really shows that.On the dvd you can see an daz even says "i got no cars an no house im startin fresh".Its like Daz is resartin his carreer from scratch an Its givin him so much energy an freshness. All I can say is pick this up an you wont b dissapointed its one of the hottest west coast cd's since "The Chronic" an thats no exageration 4 real. Daz is mad reppin' it 4 the west an doin it good. Cop this album!!"
