"let's say there were some guys that kill for a living, and these guys got caught and went into the witness relocation program. But after the goverment checks stopped coming they had to do something...."let's start a band" one says, "what will we sing about?" asks another. "well about what we used to do! of course!" and thus started the scariest band in the world. they could tie me up,cut off my ear and cover me in gasoline any day!"
Hell hath no furry like Deadbolt spurned

"I am writing this review only to correct the poor, misguided souls who gave this album less than 5 stars. Forgive them, lord, for they know not what they do.
When the final chapter of mankind's history is written, Deadbolt will be among the pantheon of true geniuses burped up every few eons like Plato, Archimedes, Descartes and Nietzsche. With songs like "A Hit Gone Wrong," "The Day I Got My Spine Back," "She's a Snake" and the brilliance of "Goin to Witchata" history can never treat Deadbolt too kindly. You'll see.
So repent you misguided souls or else I'll send Patches the Clown to put the curly arm on 'ya (and maybe a wine stain or twisted skipper too)."

"Best of the DB releases. Listen to this CD on a warm night driving down I-5 towards Mexico with only a bottle of Presidente Brandy and a wad of rolled-up $50s on the passenger seat to keep you company - and you will understand. GFY.

Mobster surf music...

"I was absolutely hooked by this album. Surf music with a royal attitude. Lyrics are violent and cool, yet they don't really take themselves seriously. Probably one of the most atmospheric albums I ever heard. I love it."
