"I like haunting music and this is good stuff. Voices and instumentation high quality too. I'm glad I heard it on NPR."

"This is "Calexico" meets "O Brother Where Art Thou" with a little "Buddy and Julie Miller" thrown in for good measure. All compelling, original, folksy but intellectual. Tough to top. Worthy music to chase Townes Van Zandt. Seriously."

"There's gospel for the Red States; elegance and ambience for the Blue - thsi is a band that should be in the national eye.
Highlights begin with, of course, "Absolom, Absolom"- an apocolyptic, unapologetic Sam Cooke-style gospel song that never fails to bring the crowd to their feet at shows. "It won't Be Long" on the other hand, intimates instead of announcing; Steve's vocals creep across the spare instrumentation. My last favorite is "Brother," with Sherilyn's graceful vocals filling in shadowy gaps in the melody and making this song, reminicient of Joshua Tree era preacher-Bono, a standout.
I offer the comparisons to help new fans, but really, there's nothing derivitive about this exceptional band that elegantly dances across folk, rock, pop, and alt-country genres. Definitely worth a listen."

"I saw this duo as an opening act last night. After a couple of songs they transported my brain to a new place. I've never heard anything with quite this blend of Alt-Country meets Cowboy Junkies plus Roxy Music with the production a la U2. After their set we went over and met the group and bought the CD which we popped into the car for the 60 mile drive home. The engineering of this disk is really crisp, absolutely perfect. This is a great group, doing something so musically unique I wholeheartedly recommend them."
