R&B and Club Music's best kept secret
That one guy - you know the one | Dixon,MO USA | 05/06/2005

"Chances are a lot of people don't know much about Deborah Cox. She's Done Broadway, including the lead in Disney's Aida, she's done Hollywood, and she's dominated the Club and R&B charts for the last 8 years, so how is that possible? Well, for one thing, she's good, maybe too good. In a world of the ever engaged and married J.Lo (who undortunatley has two different people for each), not to mention Ms. Lo's umm- "Talent", and let's not forget the ever fascinating Mrs. Federline who wants the press to leave her alone, yet she's still willing to have her private life taped for a TV reality show, and then there's Whitney- where do you start with her?

Deborah, who once served as a back up singer to fellow Canadian Celine Dion, has a vocie that can smooth to any ballad, and go to the greatest gospel vocals, putting even Whitney to shame, and she comes equipped with just some of the best Dance Mixes, actually, almost every song she records, including "Easy as Life" from Aida can be found in Remix form, and these mixes leave Miss Britney and the new Mrs. Marc Anthony in the dust.

If you still don't know Deborah, or you LOVE her, this is a must have CD. From the Catchy dance hit "Who Do U Love" to "Absolutley Not" to the Valentin Mix of "Something Happened on the Way to Heaven" (which makes the original Phil Collins Version as a cold and lonely poser by comparison)- to a duet with the Whitney Herself. Ultimate? Quintessential, Imcomparable,Exceptional, Deborah Cox.

"Deborah is the only artist that has a mixture of r@b,hip-hop,ballads and club music. This is her best!! Her dance mixes are the hinrg mixes that are played in the clubs. Mixes from ,Junior,Hani and the very hinrg Hex Hextor. From the slow to fast version of "NOBODY'S SUPPOSE TO BE HERE" to her new song "SOMETHING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO HEAVEN". R@B classics like "SENTIMENTAL", "SEPTEMBER". Her powerful ballads "WE CAN'T BE FRIENDS" (duet with R.L. from NEXT)and the duet with Whitney Houston "SAME SCRIPT, DIFFERENT CAST". Her hip-hop songs "IT COULD'VE BEEN YOU" and "UP AND DOWN".

If you want more hinrg I recommend Deborah's "REMIXED" cd.

Of course, all of her cd's are terrific!!"

"Deborah Cox is by for the most sophisticated R&B singer around today. Her elegance and class are truly superior. This album chronicles her R&B hits as well as some of her dance remixes. The unique thing about her is she has these two disctint styles, yet is superb at both. The ballad "we can't be friends" brings tears to my eyes everytime I see it. When I'm at a club and one of Ms. Cox's remixes comes on, I'm all over the dance floor. Included on this album, are the remixes to "Things Just Ain't The Same", and "Play your Part" two of my favorite remixes. It also includes the duet with Whitney Houston, "Same Script, Different Cast", which would've been a smash hit had Ms. Houston been well at the time it was to be released. Deborah's got something for everyone, just give her a try!"
