"D+B are the soundtrack of my high school and college years. My albums are literally worn out and I am replacing them with cds--FINALLY! I got this one first as an LP when I was 15. It hasn't aged a bit. I, on the other hand.........well!
A classic!"

"Delaney and Bonnie gave us the heart and soul of rock throughout the late 60's and early 70's. A big band with gusto. I saw all the biggest names, but if I could transport back I would probably pick these guys over my 10' from the stage view of Jimmy Page's guitar solos. Less commercial, but this is music that lasts. No wonder people like Clapton and Leon Russell hung with them, were influenced by them, and influenced them.
When they broke up, neither one quite had the touch again. It happens, right Ringo?
This cd is what solidly established the band. Soulful rock with a gospel touch: brass section, superb keyboards, great guitar work, and very tight. Powerful vocals and harmony. Quality. You'll swear they are a current band. The music is timeless."

"I first got this lp for free with a subscription to rolling stone magazine. I loved the album, the mix of horns and rock n roll and blues with the gritty vocals set me on fire over 36 years ago. This is a classic needed for all serious collectors. The band was just a cavalcade of superstars for the beginnings of the rock era. So glad that it is so easy to think, remeber what you are looking for and click Amazon for the music to be sent ASAP to your home... charlie"

"If you like early 70's rock that still has soul, BUY THIS ALBUM! The band's players soon broke apart and into Derick and the Domino's (Bobby Whitlock and Carl Radle) and Joe Cocker's "Mad Dogs and Englishmen" (Leon Russell, Jim Keltner, Jim Price, Bobby Keys, Rita Coolidge, and Radle) projects. First rate rock and soul by either Delaney or Bonnie. Every person I ever let hear this has gone and bought it within a week. My highlights are "When This Battle is Over" and "Love Me a Little Bit Longer". "Accept No Substitue" warms your head and your heart while your feet have to boogie. Buy this and enjoy with no regrets!"
