Amazon.comThis handsomely-produced LP comes with informative liner notes on Brown's career and a subtitle: "Dennis Brown: from Boy Wonder to Crown Prince of Reggae." Unfortunately, there's a third stage to Brown's career, in which life struggles and poor health have thinned and weakened the voice and will of a transcendent singer once considered by many reggae fans to be the worthiest successor to the Bob Marley throne. Though the listener would find more argument for crowning Brown "Reggae King" in older albums like Wolves and Leopards, Words Of Wisdom, Visions, and the numerous Best of D. Brown collections available, this set is the finest of his latter day LPs. In addition to remakes and covers, it includes a lion's share of originals drawn from younger, stronger days. --Elena Oumano
